The San Francisco version
of a 21-gun salute.
To honor retiring manager Bruce Bochy, we wanted something unique to San Francisco. What better than a foghorn blast, synonymous with the SF Giants and their fans? So we coordinated a final foghorn to our beloved manager of misfits, the largest salute in baseball history.
ONLINE FOGHORN
To ensure every fan could participate in the park, across the bay and around the world, we created a mobile foghorn button on the Giants app and homepage. In the end, more than 20,000 mobile foghorns blasted Bochy farewell.
OOH + MEDIA KIT
We packaged and hand delivered kits to sports bars, yacht clubs, news and radio stations, select Giants super fans, and influencers. Each kit contained exclusive Bochy merchandise and a personal foghorn button for the big foghorn salute.

It took assembling hundreds of boxes, about a dozen screwdrivers, 50 cans of spray paint, 160 pounds of crinkle paper, and the helping hands of our entire McCann team to bring this celebration to life.
